TU Delft OpenCourseWare Seminar

Karel Luyben starts the Ambassadeur networkLast Tuesday we organised a TU Delft OpenCourseWare Seminar. This seminar was part of the Dutch Open Education Week.

The room was completely filled with TU-employees and students and visitors from other universities. The whole seminar was also live broadcasted via collegerama. The video's are still available to view at ocw.tudelft.nl/open2011.

Two important things that were mentioned during the seminar:

  • Our rector said "OpenCourseWare is here to stay". That is always good to hear this, especially when we have decreasing resources at the university.
  • According to the audience we made it very clear that OpenCourseWare is fun! That is also very good to hear. We experience it that way and it is nice to we mad this clear.

We also announced our new Ambassadeurs Network. As firm supporters of TU Delft OpenCourseWare our ambassadors will carry out the message of openness to their colleagues, within their faculty and in their world-wide network.

So now we have to think of a programme for the international Open Education Week, that we are participating in. What would you like to see that we do?

MartijnAn e-mail by Paul Rullmann (Voce President Education TU Delft): “I wasn’t able to attend the whole conference, but what I did hear was very interesting and stimulating. I’m proud to see what major steps we’ve taken already.” Nice compliment!
